Mahle Design is a full-service residential interior design firm located in Los Angeles, California.
We work with clients all around LA including West Hollywood, Westwood, Santa Monica, Culver City, Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Pacific Palisades, Topanga, Malibu and beyond. We also continue to work in New York, where many of our past projects are located.
Our services include space planning, sourcing and specification, procurement and project management.
At Mahle Design, we believe that interior design projects work best with a collaborative process.
Although each space we design is different, our guiding process remains the same - always centered around the goal to design a space that reflects your personality and style.
Based on client meetings, site measurements, a questionnaire and a review of inspiration images, we will create drawings to illustrate our design concepts and prepare layout plans.
Our design process is a collaborative effort, and the scheme is completed based on client feedback. We work with clients to quickly identify main pieces they like and build a scheme around them. If purchasing services are part of the scope, we will place and manage all the orders for you.
If the project requires construction and clients want us involved in the actual project management, we charge a percentage of the construction budget. If we are just making occasional site visits to observe progress and are not as involved, we charge hourly.

We believe in a collaborative effort and are not a “big reveal” type of firm. We love clients who are into the design process and want to be involved, to the extent that their time allows.
It depends on the project and workload, but we typically tend to come back to clients with initial sourcing and layouts within a couple of weeks.
On large projects, we charge a fixed design fee, paid in installments, and a procurement fee if we’re placing and managing orders. On smaller projects, where procurement is typically not part of the scope, we bill hourly.
Open & airy. We like to keep things clean and uncluttered, and on the minimal side, regardless of style.
Yes, we do, but our main focus is on in person work.
We work primarily on homes and apartments.
